  • If you left your item on the Spirit flight or at an airline’s ticket counter or gate area, fill out the form on the airline’s official site to report the missing item.

  • You should contact the specific airport Lost and Found department if you left your belongings in other airport areas.

  • To contact the live agent, flyers can also dial Spirit Airlines en espanol at 1-855-SAVE-555 (1-855-728-3555).

  • The airline will continue the search for approximately 30 days.

How to Report an Item Left Onboard?

No matter how thoughtfully you pack everything when leaving the aircraft, there are times when you mistakenly forget your precious headphones, carry-on bag, or any other prized belongings on the flight. But there’s no need to worry about it, as the airline’s Lost and Found policy is there to cover you.

Here’s how you can report items left on board. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid any hassle afterward.

  • Open the airline’s official site and visit the Spirit Lost and Found page.

  • Select the “Report an item left onboard” option, and a new tab will appear on the screen.

  • There, you’ll find the form asking every single detail about the lost item, such as Item Type, Date Lost, Color/ Pattern, Tracking Device, or anything else that makes your valuable unique.

  • Once you are done with adding details, upload the image of your item to offer a clear idea of what you are looking for. The image must not exceed 5MB.

  • Thereafter, you must enter your contact information so the airline can reach you if they find your belongings. Add First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and Phone Number.

  • Finally, add your itinerary information, such as your departure and arrival airport, flight number, etc.

  • Click the checkbox saying I’m not a robot, and click the “Submit Request” button.

  • The airline will then start searching for your item according to the information provided.

Can I Report a Checked Baggage Problem?

Sure, why not!! Spirit Airlines Lost and Found department is set up to address your baggage queries. So, you can contact them for the missing item or any other checked baggage issue.

  • First of all, you must navigate to the airline’s Lost and Found page and select the “Report a checked baggage problem” tab.

  • A new page will open where you’ll find multiple problems regarding the checked baggage, such as Did not arrive (Delayed baggage), Arrived Damaged (Damaged baggage), and Arrived with Item (s) missing.

  • You must select the rightmost option based on your baggage problem and move further to file the report.

If the baggage did not arrive,

  • Enter your reservation details, like last name and confirmation number, to retrieve your information, and upload the necessary pictures to support your claim.

  • Please remember that the airline won’t cover normal wear and tear, fragile items, pre-existing damage, poor-quality luggage, and overpacked baggage.

Arrived with Items Missing

  • If you received baggage with an item missing, it’s recommended to report the issue to local law enforcement, as the airline won’t take part in such claims.
